2. On-going Regular Weekly Therapy - Face-to-face and Telephone
Psychotherapy is normally undertaken with a committment to a minimum of one session per week at the same day and time each week. As your therapist, I reserve this time and my office for you each week. As my client, you are responsible for payment of these sessions whether attended or not until you have given clear notice that you wish to conclude therapy. You do not pay for sessions that I cancel, bank holidays and my holidays. I also operate a 3-week client holiday allowance per year, if given at least one full week's notice. This means you do not have to pay for up to 3 sessions per year when specified notice has been given. If you are unable to attend a session and give me a minimum of 48 hours' notice, I will endeavour to try to offer another session in the same week, but this is often not possible during more popular times of day.

Payment for On-going Regular Therapy is due either by session or, for established clients, on a monthly basis. Fees are due within 5 working days of invoice issue and before or on following session.

On-going therapy appointments are scheduled for 60 minutes and start and conclude at the scheduled time; not 60 minutes after a late start.

3. Flexible Booking Counselling - Face-to-face and Telephone
Flexible Counselling is undertaken when a client has a lifestyle where regular weekly sessions is not practical. Therefore, I offer a booking system that allows for flexible scheduling within a specified timeframe. These sessions are paid for at the time of booking and are non-refundable. If I am unable to attend a paid session, I will offer an alternative, mutually-convenient session or issue a refund.

Flexible counselling sessions are scheduled for 50 minutes and start and conclude at the scheduled time; not 50 minutes after a late start.

4. Additional Support

If you require support between sessions, this can, by agreement, be supplied in either telephone or email format. This is chargeable. Please view the main website or ask for current rates.

5. Confidentiality
I will do my best to keep the content of your e-mails confidential although this is not 100% possible when using the internet (please read the  Disclaimer). After I have received your history and personal details, you may wish to consider not including personally identifiable content in electronic transmissions that contain sensitive content. You may need to consider the fact that other people may have access to your computer and you will need to decide how to keep our counselling confidential if you wish to do so.

My communications with you, electronic or otherwise, may not be transcribed, recorded, printed, posted or published either in whole or in part without my express, written permission. Material arising from the counselling including your experience of the process may not be used for commercial purposes, interviews, media without my express, written permission.

If I feel you are in danger of coming to harm or that someone you are in contact with might be harmed, I will need to break confidentiality in order to protect you or the third party. I would do my best to discuss this with you and involve you in the process but therapy may need to be suspended.

10. Delivery
Delivery constitutes Deborah Ward's availability for the scheduled hour and will conclude at the scheduled end-time regardless of client's delay or lateness in starting. Therefore, please be prompt. 'Delivery' will be deemed 'Received' regardless of whether the client 'attends' the session or not. The exception to this is if a minimum of 48 hours notice is received and a mutually-convenient alternative session is agreed.

I operate an ethical practice and take my client's welfare extremely seriously.
